“That day she was amazed to discover that when he was saying ‘As you wish’, what he meant was ‘I love you’.”

I don’t like gifs, but I love this movie too too much not to reblog this.

A world without string is CHAOS!

-words I do live by
-Agreed by my Father, who referenced my Brother, who quoted the words of the movie Mousehunt!

Please bare with me as I take a few extra days away from posting to settle into my new “chaos” here in Brisbane.

March catch-up continues…

We decided to spend a day seeing another free exhibition Melbourne has to offer; ACMI. Fed Square is FULL of things to do all year round & this building is just one of its perks. It’s crazy to think that film & television could be so different anywhere around the globe. We learnt that there was pretty much a 20 year delay for tv broadcasting here & that a lot of talent came from here as well. Still can’t believe that Darwin didn’t get tv until 1971!

Besides that, we were reminded that Moulin Rouge, Cate Blanchett & Felix the Cat had ties to Australia. Of course there were characters & shows from here that we’ve never heard of back home; Skippy the Bush Kangaroo anyone? Also couldn’t escape having some Disney history in a movie & television museum.

It was pretty awesome seeing some super interactive installations too. You could have fun playing around with sound effects & get filmed full circle like in The Matrix. The best was the screen that made your shadows into weird monsters with sound effects. I think I had a video of that somewhere.

The Princess Bride reunion photo. Click to embiggen.

I used to wake up on Sunday mornings watching Tintin with my Father. Really cannot wait for this film to come out this Fall.

I can’t love Mood Rings without giving some credit to the movie My Girl.

Call me a total nerd or completely lame, but this makes me so happy to find! If you know what this is without me explaining you’re inconcievably awesome.

Inigo Montoya’s sword. From The Princess Bride.

Love it as much as I do?

If only it was that easy….

Totally cheesy & yet I can’t help but sing along when I read these words. Disney’s still got a bit of a hold on me. Maybe I should go work there again….

After posting this it was only fate that I’d find The Terminal the very next day for cheap. I mean, what are the odds?!
It’s been a while since I’ve seen it, & you know what my favourite part about rewatching it this time was? Zoe Saldana plays a Trekkie! I couldn’t help but giggle knowing that she later went on to play Uhura in the newest Star Trek. Again, what are the odds?!

Okay, after seeing this portrait of Diego Luna I either want to watch Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights or The Terminal now. Who’s in?!

I had no idea The Chemical Brothers did the music for this movie until a friend shared it with me. Thanks to him, I’ve been listening to this non stop.

Click. Listen. Enjoy.

Hanna’s Theme. By The Chemical Brothers.

So apparently Snow White & Prince Charming were going to dance on a heart-shapped cloud originally, but obviously nothing came of the sketches. I’m pretty happy it didn’t. Are those cupid stars I see there? Oh gosh!

Years later, they did it for Sleeping Beauty instead. So glad the clouds didn’t have little cupid stars in that one either.
