Wearing a sweater I designed a long long time ago. Too bad it’s faded as much as it is. Just me, my Grandpa & his bird hanging out on a 90s sweater.

Probably my favourite google doodle yet!

I forgot I had this book with me! Favourite story always hiding in my sketchbook. Toughest, smartest girl around! (Taken with Instagram)

I still LOVE the Rocketeer! This kid has got style. More Halloween costumes should have such dedication. It is afterall, the best time to show off your creativity & handiness compared to every other Holiday we’ve created (unless you make handmade gifts of course.)

Cosplaying Kid of the Day: Proving that being the best dad ever wasn’t a one time deal, photographer Jim D. Griffioen — who you may remember from dressing his son up in a homemade RoboCop costume last year — returns with a 20th anniversary homage to one of his son’s favorite movies: The Rocketeer.
Over on his blog, Griffioen describes how he pieced the costume together for pennies using a bike helmet, a cheap Iron Man mask, a couple of thrift-store jackets, a couple of Pepsi bottles, a few found items, a lots of elbow grease.

Oh. My. God.
So if we ever have kids… Just saying
It’s my birthday today & this was make cake last night. Barbie birthday cakes were what I grew up with & was craving the design & nostalgia this year. Making a bundt cake the barbie goes in the middle & the cake becomes the dress. Pretty simple & very fun.

I’m not sure how she ended up at Wonder Women (with a Green Lantern marking) but I guess she’s just dressed up for Halloween too. Unfortunately the “W” melted very badly.

I don’t normally like gifs but I’m a sucker for nostalgic posts like this. I just love the warmth you get looking at the slightest introduction to these cartoon classics. Must reblog.

I’ve had great conversations with my cousins that end up being just as smart & clever as this. Listen to kidlets more often, they have great perspectives of life.

Pretty sure I’ve reflagged this already.
I’ll do it again.
And probably again.
I played with this dollhouse as a kid! It was at my Grandparents & went through more than a few generations of play. I have a feeling a cousin of mine pretended to be Godzilla with it one day & broke it. Very tempted to grab this vintage Etsy find.

My Grandmother is moving this weekend. It’s going to be strange visiting any other place than the one where I practically grew up in. Before everything was packed away in trucks I found this little gem still pinned up 15+ years later. This was an old poster ad for my Father’s company back in the day. (See!! People were “green” even then!) Oh! That chubby little kidlet in overalls is me!
