My brother made this video for a contest with one of his favourite artists. Great job baby brother! Love you Nick! -Cory U

Here it is! What I’ve been working on all month. Why my hands are full of calluses, the reason my back is stiff, and why my eyes, may permanently, only see computer-length in front of me.

This is a music video for The Crickets Sing for AnaMaria by Universal Hall Pass.

I hand drew the images, then animated them in a series of different programs.

I would talk more about this right now, but I’m at the local library since my internet connection at home is kurfluffed, and my time is running out.

I’ll post some original drawings I did once my internet is fixed.

Enjoy!

There’s nothing like a morning spent catching up with family. Sad faces from Lyd missing me, happy faces from stories by Nomi, & first day of school anticipation by the most excited of all, Josh! Miss them all! x (Taken with Instagram)

I missed a fam jam this summer & a rare occassion to see all my cousins on my Mum’s side together. At least I got to see & hear them through this video Naomi put together!

I know this won’t be appreciated the same way for anyone else, but I had to share anyways. My cousins got caught in a bad storm that weekend, so even a family Skype couldn’t happen to say hello. These are the only messages I got from that weekend together.

Miss em all! & I definitely had some fun listening to their riddles & watching their amazing quirkiness like I would’ve if I had been there.

Dana drives on the “wrong” side… (by Connect3hree)

We’re Canadian. We drive on the right side of the road back home.

Part way through our first month here in Australia, our fellow Canadian friends taught Dana to drive on the “wrong” side.

This is the whole trip.

I just love how in this ten minutes you see all the different dynamics of us as a group; Cassie, Steve, Dana & Cory.

PS Dana hasn’t driven since.”

My family keeps sending me secretive videos that I’m not allowed to share. Thank goodness I’m good at keeping secrets… just not smiling faces.

Here’s a sneak of Josh jamming to One Direction on Naomi’s lap. I’ve been hooked watching those smiling faces all week! Keep them coming Naomi!

Wow! Finally reached the end of the Great Ocean Roadtrip! It was a great three days & still can’t believe how many stories came out of it. Makes me wonder how I’m going to handle sharing a 20 day trip coming up soon.

Here’s a video of the animals & The Grampians we saw on out roadtrip. We feed kanagroos, spot a baby Joey, listen to an Aussie classic, see lots of rocks, & hear amazing voice-overs from Dana once again.

Posts that go with this video are as follows:

Great Ocean Roadtrip Part Two (by Connect3hree)

Just a little video specifically for my cousin, Naomi. Her travelling dream is London, England so when I first heard we were going to “London Bridge” I thought of her straight away.

Too bad ocean views are always so windy. Sorry for the horrible sound quality. Lucky for me you at least hear the important bits.

A good while back we spent the day with our “Canadian Tour Guides” & headed to the Healsville Sanctuary. You can read up about our day HERE & HERE but here’s a little video to go along with it now too!

It’s pretty well all just animals & commentary; but you do meet Kevin the talking & dancing bird, & watch a boomerang get thrown on a very windy day. (This guy’s got skills!)

Our only disappointment (besides not petting a Koala) was not being able to get any footage of the fast swimming platypus. It was too dark in there & they move way too fast.

I’m missing out on some great family fun this weekend. My brother & Mum headed down to see the rest of the gang & sent me some love in a little video.

My favourite parts?

  • 3 y/o Josh thinking I’m in the camera… (Lyd too!)
  • Josh singing “Dad is home” to the tune of “Jesus Loves Me”
  • Nick’s fist pump
  • Grandma begging me to come home to fix her home theatre. (I’m the techy of the family afterall)… As you wish, Grandma ;)
HAPPY EASTER!
Easter Update (by Connect3hree)
-Cory U

Happy Easter Weekend everyone!

Unfortunately, since this year I’m halfway across the world I don’t get the yummy food that is my Grandmothers or big neverending hugs & cuddles from my family. But I did get a pretty awesome Skype session. The best part? My fam jam has no idea I’m sharing these awesomely silly photos & smiles until they read this.

Everybody meet my Aunt, Uncle, Mum, Brother & cousins! Can you tell we were all pretty excited to chat?

The strangest part? Telling them I have a horrible foot tan from my Toms shoes & then being nagged to show them off. They’ve been nicknamed shortbread feet.

Love them all bunches & miss them even more x

I have such a talented family! My (extended) cousins just posted a new cover song & I couldn’t be more happy to hear their voices from miles & miles away.

To Make You Feel My Love cover (by SonicaMusic)

Here’s a little video of our day at the St. Kilda Festival. It was windy, rainy & completely worth the day out.

If you missed it, you can read up on the day HERE

My brother sent me a video response of what he’s been up to at home. I wish I could share it but there’s some top secretive behind-the-scenes film shoot stuff in it that can’t be leaked. What I can show you is what he woke up to & what he had to travel in; LOTS OF SNOW!

I really don’t miss snow.

It took me an entire day to load this video & I’m SO relieved it’s finally up. Trying to save my own internet costs I ran around town to find a more practical way to upload. This is what I learned:

  • Starbucks in Australia does not have free internet
  • Not all cafes that offer free wifi have accessible outlets
  • Library wifi is too slow to upload with
  • I will be uploading from “home” from now on

Tidbits about the video:

  • All these clips were filmed in the first month travelling (January)
  • I will continue to surprise Dana by telling her I’m filming AFTER the fact
  • I really did get attacked by those birds, but the video didn’t film the end of it
  • I am really wanting a better camera to document with now

Enjoy!
