Welcome to my Melbourne apartment! It was the second time living with Dana; the first being apartment 404 at Vista Way, FL, which we’ll never forget. Located just in the North part of Carlton, we were super close to the city, tram lines, & yummy Italian foods.
The strangest part was not having screens on our windows. Since we didn’t want bugs (& Dana almost traveled with a bug net for her bed), we bought some lacy curtains & made our own DIY window coverings. The tape & lace proved to come in handy when we took them down six months later & found a good amount of bugs caught in amongst the tape. Another add-in was the yarn clothes-line strung together with 3M hooks.
Overall, we couldn’t have been more happy to finally have our own beds & space again. Couch crashing is only fun for so long… Just wished the kitchen was bigger. Half our desk space later became more of a kitchen counter to make do with our limitations.
