Just two Canadian girls heading into town to celebrate Australia Day…
Being a rather extended long weekend we decided to check out the local celebrations & have some fun. Couldn’t believe how early the crowd started in Federation Square & the parks near by as people waited for the fireworks late in the evening.
Walking around town, we couldn’t resist having a taste of some yummy doughnuts. I don’t even like bananas but I had to try the banana cream filled doughnut & I gotta admit, Timmies has some competition here. So good!
From Federation Square to running down to the river, the fireworks were all over the place! Like I said before, it’s rather odd seeing fireworks without music & a Disney touch anymore. Still just as fun nonetheless.
Now we’ve just got to find some more Canadians to celebrate Canada Day with in July. Any takers?
