Hey Mum, what do you think of me changing my citizenship to Australian?

I really wanted to send out an email tease with the top left photo saying how much I loved it here & that I was never coming home, but decided to just include it in this instead. To get our tax numbers & officially work here we had to travel to the immigration offices. The weirdest part was seeing tv adverts inside of people that got scammed with visa services by third parties. Can’t believe it happened so much to have warning videos. Always go through proper government channels!

This tax number will be my third! I feel a slow collection of Countries building up. Canada, then the United States, now Australia. What’s next?! (I think I just put shivers down the spines of everyone I left at home.)

The rest of the day we ended up getting familiar with the transit systems & walking by so many familiar & unfamiliar shops. Being a regular Toronto transitor I’m already starting to favour the Aussie system. We’ve got a long way to go from here.

Ate at a cute food chain called “Pie Face” where every pie evidently has a face. It’s not easy eating something so cute you know.

PS Loved seeing a transit sign saying “no offensive language or behaviour”. Say what you want, but in a public place I’ll fully agree with this rule.
